After a lot of leaks and rumors, Huawei finally launched its P40 series. The company released three new smartphones in this series at their online live event: Huawei P40, P40 Pro and the P40 Pro+. Let’s see the specs & prices of these three phones.
Huawei P40 Specifications
Huawei P40 Pro+ comes with a 6.58-inch Quad Curve Overflow display with a 90HZ refresh rate and a wide punch hole. The display features with 2640X1200 resolution and 441ppi. The display also supports DCI-P3 coverage & HDR. The aspect ratio of the screen is 19.8:9. The Huawei P40 Pro comes with a similar display like P40 Pro+. Huawei P40 comes with a 6.1-inches Fulld HD+ display. The display features with 60HZ refresh rate. All these three smartphones come with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Huawei P40 Rare Camera
This phone features with a Leica Ultra Vision triple rare camera setup. There is a 50MP ultra vision wide primary camera (f/1.9), an 8MP telephoto shooter (f/2.4) with 3X optical zoom and a 16MP ultra-wide lens (f/2.2).
Huawei P40 Pro Rare Camera
Huawei P40 Pro comes with quad rare camera setup including a 50MP ultra vision wide primary camera (f/1.9), a 40MP ultrawide cine camera (f/1.8), a 12MP periscope camera (f/3.4) and an 8MP telephoto camera with 5X optical zoom. There is also a color temperature sensor.
Huawei P40 Pro+ Rare Camera
P40 Pro+ Camera features with penta camera setup. There is a 50MP ultra vision wide primary camera (f/1.9), a 40MP ultrawide cine camera, a 8MP super zoom camera, a 8MP telephoto camera & a 3D depth sensing camera. You also get a ToF sensor and a color temperature sensor. This means there is a total of 6 sensors onboard for photography.
All these three devices come with 32MP selfie shooter with an ambient and proximity sensor. There is only one difference. The P40 Pro and P40 Pro+ support auto-focus while the P40 supports fixed focus.
Three smartphones of Huawei P40 series come with same chipset. It is powered by a Kirin 990 5G chipset. The Huawei P40 features with 8GB of RAM & 128GB of storage. P40 Pro comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage while the P40 Pro+ comes with 8GB of RAM & 512 GB of storage.
The Huawei P40 series runs on HMS based EMUI 10.1. This series is totally absence from Google’s mobile services. They also announced a new Al voice assistant, Celia that will use as an alternative of Google Assistant.
The Huawei P40 Pro & P40 Pro+ is fueled by a 4,200 mAh battery. P40 Pro suppers 40W wired SuperCharge while the P40 Pro+ supports 40W wireless SuperCharge. P40 Pro also gets a 27W fast wireless charging.
On the other hand, Huawei P40 comes with 3,800 mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support. Here you don’t get any wireless charging support.
Price & Availability
The price of Huawei P40 is €799 (approx Rs.65,800 in India). The Huawei P40 Pro costs at €999 (approx Rs.82,300). Finally, the Huawei P40 Pro+ is priced at €1,399 (approx Rs.1,15,250 in India).
All three phones are available in five colors including glossy white, black, blue, matte silver & gold finishes. The company announced that the purchases of P40 and P40 Pro will start from April 7. And the P40 Pro+ will not be available for purchase till June.
