Earlier Reliance Jio introduces low-cost 4G service in India by giving a big shock to its rival groups and also promises to achieve its dream to produce highly enabled fastest network in India.
They are making devices to readily capable of taking this advantage of the network and to lead India to its new heights and market leader in the world.
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Jio said: “At Jio, We are committed to connecting everyone and everything…everywhere…always with the highest quality and the most affordable price”.
A giant step towards this direction taken, On the opening day of India Mobile Congress (IMC), by showcasing multiple test use cases including Skyship drone for public safety and surveillance, agriculture monitoring and disaster response with Samsung.
Ericsson and Reliance Jio also gave a demo of a connected car on a 5G network, which can reduce traffic collisions, help in driver safety and data processing.
In the opening session, Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani said, “This is the fastest transition anywhere in the world from 2G/3G to 4G. By 2020, I believe that India will be a fully the 4G country and ready for 5G ahead of others.”
Indian Mukesh Ambani’s Jio is the world’s largest and fastest growing mobile data network – together with Ericsson demonstrated trial 5G network to drive a car prototyped at Reliance Corporate Part in Mumbai from a remote location about 1,388 km away at Aerocity grounds here.
Remote Control Of Machine And 360 Degree 4K Video Streaming
Jio showcased the power and potential of the 5G network. It demonstrated the multi-gigabit speed, super capacity handling capability and super-low latency capabilities that enable 360-degree 4K video streaming.
5G could be as much as 10 times more efficient than 4G technology, could lead to a safe execution of human-led remote control of autonomous vehicles and a significant improve the safety of self-driving cars. 5G can reduce traffic collisions, help in driver safety and data processing.

Demo Of A Connected Car On A 5G Network
It also performed backout test as the driver is driving wearing a virtual reality glasses and solely dependent on the video captured from a camera on the hood of the car.
Demonstrating remote control of machines through the 5G connection, a car connected over a live 5G network in IIT-Delhi was also made accessible at IMC booth about 12-kilometres away, for remote driving. Also, a car was connected to 5G at RCP, Mumbai was controlled from IMC
Skyship Drone For Public Safety And Surveillance
It had a 5G-enabled drone that could perform in the powerful security surveillance and identifying threats by monitoring from the sky on a real-time basis. This drone with 5G connection demonstrated how using facial recognition technology can help identify threats on a real-time basis.
Agriculture Monitoring And Disaster Response
“5G introduces the ability to remotely manage devices and heavy machinery, thus unlocking the potential for improved mission-critical applications in medical services, surgeries and industrial automation that would otherwise be unavailable,” said by the company.
5G will be allowed for operations of machines to be controlled in hazardous situations in order to keep human life safe.
The 5G technology is also used in telemedicine – a practice of using telecommunications technology to evaluate, diagnose and clinical care for patients at a distance.
This includes patient consultations conducted via audio and video conferencing, remote diagnosis, remote monitoring of vital signs, real-time transmission of images and test results, health wearables, and transnational telemedicine, Jio officials said.
“Within the upcoming few years, we will be bringing consumers new augmented and virtual reality experiences on devices that don’t even exist yet,” officially said by the company.
It is just not an upgrade from 4G to 5G.it will quite literally revolutionize cellular networks and offer a seamless medium for communication. With augmented reality (AR), low latency and extreme bandwidth of 5G, it holds the key to unlock the high data-driven automated world.
